Dancer Conditioning
Pilates - Yoga - PBT
Pre-character - Repertoire

A career pedagogue, my main services include teaching ballet and pointe work. I also teach Dancer conditioning with the input of Pilates, Yoga and various somatic techniques, as well as the basics of National dance (pre-character) and excerpts from the classical repertoire. I occasionally choreograph for student productions.

As a teacher, I am generally considered dynamic and stimulating, and my students have often claimed that my approach and encouragement contributed to their gaining confidence in their abilities.

My approach is based on solid  anatomical principles that I do not hesitate to share with my students. I also make use of images, breath, kinesthetic awareness, etc., to facilitate and free the dancer's movement, promote movement quality and diminish the risk of over-use injuries.

I firmly believe that students must develop their physical, technical and artistic abilities in parallel. Although I am considered rigorous and demanding in technical precision, I am just as interested in  the expressivity of movement initiated from within, the various dynamics and artistic qualities, a good sense of line and musicality.

I teach mainly in pre-professional and professional training situations, but I am just as happy teaching children and adults who do ballet for their own pleasure, and teaching ballet as a complementary tool for dancers specializing  in other genres, such as contemporary and jazz.

My services include teaching basic pedagogy as applied to dance training, ballet pedagogy, and offering personal accompaniment by means of coaching and mentoring for young teachers, as well as for more experienced teachers looking for renewal and inspiration.

I have been teaching basic pedagogy applied to dance and specific ballet pedagogy since the 1980's, and I still find it stimulating to share my knowledge and experience with others.

My services are very flexible and adaptable to the specific needs of each group or individual.

Perfectly bilingual and interested in languages from a young age, I studied in Literature and Languages at the College level, and have been translating French to English and vice versa for more than 30 years.

Among my recent  achievements, I translated Cecchetti Canada's website and a 165-page reference book from English to French.

During my years at the head of L'École de danse de Québec, a professional dance-training institution with a national and international clientele, I translated all the school's documents, letters, forms, publicity and website from French to English.
